I'm planning to buy the same but a used 780Ti Matrix Platinum and SLI it.
Is my specs good enough to SLI? And is the extra perfomance worth to SLI?

OS : Windows 7 Ultimate x64
CPU: i7 4790K 4.0GHz
COOLER: Cooler Master V8 GTS
SSD: Intel SSD 730 Series
HDD: 2x WD Black 6TB & WD Green 1TB
MB : Asus Maximus Formula VII
GPU: ASUS ROG Matrix GTX 780 Ti 3GD5
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 4X4 DDR3 1600MHz (16gb)
PSU: Corsair HX1000

Solution
Multi-GPU setup :
- could have potential issues e.g. micro stutters, etc.
- not all games support
- performance scaling is game dependent
- consumes quite a lot more power
Multi-GPU is not really a good idea unless you have no other option.

780Ti is about the same level as GTX1060 6GB. Only GTX1070 or higher is the worthy update.
Personally, I would skip this generation and wait for the next.

not every game is sli ready, some are worse with SLI.
I would not suggest SLI. a faster single card will use less power, generate less heat, be less complicated, will be supported in every title and more powerful than a SLI.

the motherboard supports quad SLI AND AMD's crossfire

The problem is that I can't afford it, a used 780Ti is way cheaper and also a used 1000 series card is still too expensive. What's the best affordable card which is better than the 780Ti? The 1070?
