I have 2 PCs both are direct connect with a Cat 6 Ethernet cord, my package is a 500 download. im getting a 300 on one computer and about a 640 on my other one when testing on speedtest both the same server, both computers use h110m motherboards, my computer is the one getting a 300 but it is also the better PC
MSI h110m motherboard (supposedly a gigabit LAN port)
i5-6600k
GTX 1070
EVGA G2 550w
16gb ddr4 @3000mhz
the pc achieving 600+ is
i5-4460
GTX 680
Enermax 450w PSU
8gb ddr3

the only big difference is that the pc getting 600+ is on win10 and mine getting 300 is on win7. both PCs are completely healthy. any suggestions on how to fix this?

When you are running on that fast a internet connection it does not take much to degrade the testing. Try the beta version of speed test on both machines the older flash version would bottleneck in the flash code.

If you really want to test to be sure it is not the computer load iperf on both your machines. You likely will get 900mbps between the machines.

In the big picture it likely makes no difference. Most sites you download from have artificial limits on them. Be nice if more sites would download faster when you have a fast connection.
