Greetings! I recently was gifted a used Dell Studio XPS 9000 ( See below Link for close to this rig specs) and I was curious as to how much I could get out of it. It came with all this:
Core i7920 2.66ghz
8 GB DDR3 1066MHZ Ram
500 GB SATA Hard Drive
And the piece de resistance....
Undetermined VRam capacity Geforce 240 GT
What in the humble opinion of this community is this machine capable of?
How much would be a decent budget to invest in this and where would you start?
If I wanted to play games, where would I start hitting my limit on the CPU?
I have no problem dropping a decent used video card in here, it has plenty of extra power for an older card and actually has 2 6 pin power connectors off the PSU. Any suggestions on a decent used video card would be appreciated.
