Trying to sell old gaming rig, need opinion on price

Me and my roommate are trying to sell an old gaming rig that we have to build new ones but we dont know how much a used rig can go for, the one we are selling values at about $1400 if you were to build it new. We were thinking about putting it on ebay and starting the bidding at $1000 and buy now @ $1200
the build is as follows

  • i7 4790k
    24gb of ddr3 ram @1333Mhz
    GTX 970 4gb Gddr5
    1tb hard drive @7200rpm
    asus motherboard that we just purchased and installed new @ $60
    razer h440
    550w psu
The build is pretty solid, we can crack an average 90fps in shadow of mordor at ultra 1080p. it runs on standard win10. If anyone with experience buying or selling used pc/pc pcparts could get back to us that would be great!

Going by what I (and probably most people) would consider reasonable used prices for each of those components, I'd say you have about $700 worth of parts on your hands. You'd have to specify what PSU you have as that could either be a junk ~$25 unit, or a perfectly decent ~$50 model. The RAM is dirt slow bog standard 1333MHz, so that's another negative, and a 1TB HDD goes for peanuts.

I wouldn't hold it against you for trying to get as much money as possible out of this, especially since ebay will be taking a cut, but unless you get lucky (read: find a sucker), you are unlikely to get $1k out of the system.
