External Hard Drive Storage reporting 44gb free space out of 931, but "WinDirStat" reports 753gb free

How do I access the free area of the Black Armor terabyte external drive? I have read other similar threads following the tips there and even downloaded WD quick formatter, but it did not recognize the drive on the scan. I am at a loss, and I would appreciate any advice or assistance. Also, is it a good idea to "shrink volume" on the drive?

If you don't have any data you care about. Just delete the current partition and create a new one covering the full size. If you do have data you care about using something like partition magic to extend the current partition.
