Sha1 check issues

Hello, I have two hard disks seagate and wd blue. Both 2 Tb. Now the problem is when i copy any large file > 2gb from seagate drive to wd. Then verify sha1 hash. The hash changes everytime i calculate on wd drive. I also checked memory test and it went good everytime.

may be your program is hashing something related to the file attributes.
may be try to re-hash the original file and see that there is no difference.

I recently updated bios and now hashes are correct everytime. Maybe it was bios issue.

Now im getting bsod frequently while i copy files. Any ideas?

may be, and just maybe, one of disks is corrupt, or some other HW component in the system is faulty.
What is the BSOD code ?

Reset bios to default settings and then reinstalled the drivers. Now bsod error is gone. Now im facing same sha1 calculation issue.

what program do you use to hash the files ?
faulty HW can still cause hash mismatch either because the files are different (faulty disk/cable/controller/cpu/ram and/or SW issue ...) or because hash is not calculated correctly (same list as before)

I use sha1sum on Linux. The problem is when i calculate sha1 for large file which i copied from another drive the hashes dont match. Then when i try to calculate hash on original file it changes everytime i calculate. And also don't match the original hash.

Tested memory with memtest86 and it reported some errors. Does that mean memory is faulty and not the cpu or mobo?

Yes. I have used mostly all kinds of hash software. But to no avail. Ran memtest86 again but this time it went well. Cant figure what is the problem. You got any ideas what may cause this? I noticed one thing, when i copy and verify file using teracopy it shows me no error. For the file which gave me wrong hash, i restart and check hash then it matches correctly but only for small files < 1gb. For large files like 4gb or more it is always wrong.
