I recently gutted and rebuilt my PC with all new parts. The only parts I kept from the previous build were the hard drives and case. I've been plagued with nothing but bad luck with this PC since it was built. My IT guy assembled it and has been my go to for all repairs. Here are the specs and the timeline...

i7 7700K stock
NZXT Kraken X62 liquid cooler
Z270 Asus Hero IX MoBo
2 GTX 1080Ti's SLI stock factory OC
16GB Corsair RAM
1000W EVGA PSU
3 Samsung SSD's
NZXT case

3 months ago- After 15 minutes of use the CPU failed and the PC got stuck in a never ending boot sequence. The CPU was then RMA'd.

2 weeks ago- The liquid cooler broke because of a failed pump. So I RMA'd that and am still waiting on the replacement.

1 week ago- The Cooler Master CPU cooler I purchased in the meantime hasn't been doing a good job and I've seen my CPU temps spike into the 90's when playing graphically intensive games. So I stopped playing those games while I wait on the liquid cooler replacement.

1 week ago- My 2nd 1080Ti failed but the 1st one was working and I swapped them in the PCIE lanes and ran each solo to be sure. So I RMA'd the GPU and got the replacement a week later.

So please give me advise. Could any of these failed parts have been related to each other. Is there something bigger at play? Are these issues random and I'm extremely unlucky. Is my IT guy incompetent and somehow causing some of the issues. He's my fathers IT guy for his business and he knows what he's doing as far a I can tell.

Solution
All those failures, except pump failure, could be caused by bad VRM on motherboard. However if that was the case, you would have problems with 2nd CPU as well. Well, you do have sort of a problem - temps, but 7700K are known for going hot, so it is hard to tell if it's just unlucky unit or really problem caused by motherboard. But still, 90 deg on stock speed? That's a bit suspicious.
Well, in theory pump failure could also be caused by applying too high voltage thorough motherboard header. So, I think you should take close look at motherboard voltages.

Sounds to me like you have extremely bad luck. The computer is plugged into a grounded outlet with a surge protector correct? Pumps are known to die along with GPU's. CPU's though is quite rare.

Just to be on the safe side, as it isn't impossible for a any model PSU to little faulty (well, we know some are seriously faulty, no matter which one in the model series) straight from the factory, have the PSU checked. If it is faulty, it could cause those issues too. Now, with that said, do you know which 1000W EVGA PSU you have? If it isn't a direct fault of your parts, I would also have your mains power checked to see how noisy it might be. Sometimes that can sneak garbage through a good PSU. If absolutely everything checks out... you may just have been very unlucky and got a bunch of bad parts.
