Thoughts on this PC

Couple things to note:

This is for WoW only, looking to maximize the settings for either 1080 or 1440. (no streaming, no multitasking)

This PC will be on sale for $899 come black Friday. I am buying from bestbuy to get 0% 18 month financing. I know I can build better/cheaper but don't have the funds to pay upfront.

Is this a good PC in general for WoW?

Is this a really good deal for the PC ($899 sale)?

How is IBuyPower' reputation, should I trust them? Are they easily upgradable? If not, would CyberPower PC be a safer brand?

As said before, it's not a bad deal. Also as said before, the PSUs in those systems are bare minimum, and they are usually low quality Taiwanese or Chinese PSUs that they end up buying in bulk (the one I got in my system was a low end ATNG PSU, any overclocking or adding of any new parts would have made the PSU questionable at best). They are good enough for exactly what's in the system and nothing more. The performance should be fine for any modern gaming though.

As far as reputation goes, they're both just fine. I wouldn't necessarily pick one of the over based on reputation cause they're pretty similar in most respects.

My knowledge isn't great so please excuse me if I'm wrong. When it comes to the PSU power, that would only factor in when I would look to upgrade the GPU?

Is the PSU something that is upgradable down the road?

Thank you

The two biggest factors when considering PSU is the quality (which can be researched from professional reviews, etc), and power output particularly on the +12V rail. I believe both iBuyPower and CyberPowerPC use standard components and simply assemble them for you, so it would be something to upgrade down the road.

It is actualy a Good deal.

Though. The CPU cooler is bad (Hyper 212 a placeholder) Along with the case fans. And PSU.
The GTX 1060 3gb is okish.

In the end.

Get a NEW PSU, CPU colller (Hyper 212 evo) And case fans (Corsiar/NZXT or something )

Oh, and Case is a placeholder too (its ok)

Solution
You can always build a better system for the same/less money, but if you aren't a builder or not confident in doing so, buying one is not all bad. However, I've seen better complete gaming systems on NewEgg. That 3GB GTX 1060 is meh. I would also wait until Black Friday or even better Cyber Monday before making the leap. Cyber Monday especially has the best deals. In my experience over the years monitoring Black Friday "deals," they are overblown and more about bringing in traffic than actual real deals like they used to be. This past summer a buddy found an HP Omen gaming PC at Best Buy that had the far superior GTX 1070 in it for the $30 less than this machine (originally $1,299 on sale for $1,069).

Thank you for taking the time to do that! When it comes to the upgrades you mention, how important are those when it comes to playing a game like WoW?

I am buying with upgrading in mind, but don't want to have to upgrade right away. If I can enjoy WoW while maximizing settings, I would be content for a while.

So the machine listed will be going on sale for $899 per the ad. I will definitely keep an eye out for better deals though as I will usually get early access to cyber Monday being an Elite member.

My questions is, for a game such as World of Warcraft, what type of differences would at GTX 1070 (or even a 1060 6GB) GPU make as opposed to the 1060 3gb in this unit?

Huh. On my Best Buy website it shows $1,099 and when I put it in the basket it shows $1,099 for the checkout price. It must be your local store's deal. That makes a BIG difference then at $899 and a deal. I would not have paid $1,099. And yes, if all you play is WOW, the 3GB 1060 will be more than adequate at high quality settings at 1080p. Unfortunately WOW is not used as a game benchmark much, so you may have to play around with the level quality settings some to get the best performance and quality match (Level 10 brings a 4GB RX 460 to its knees which is about half the performance of a 1060).

Sorry, I should've clarified - Best Buy released their Black Friday (November 24th) advertisement. So its not on sale yet, but will be for 899 on that date. (Ensuring I get one before selling out could be a separate issue). I appreciate all the info you provided though and I think I feel a little more comfortable buy this once it goes on sale.

That's why I was confused because I got an email alert from BB that early Black Friday sales were on now. At $899 it will be hard to find a similar deal with those specs but I'd still keep my eyes open. Of course if a better deal is found on Cyber Monday, you can return it. I don't like to do that, but I will if it's worth the hassle (lower price, better equipment for the same price, etc.).

Np

It should run fine.

I would upgrade the compnets above because it is a low quality psu (could fail and take out whole system)
The fans is chocie. They don't look good and they are loud, same with psu.

Note: Mobo is ITX so it is REALLY SMALL, and might look ugly
