I have a 960 2gb... yea i know it sucks lol, and was wondering if i should wait to see what the NVIDIA Volta would be like(yea I know it could be a long wait) or get a GPU of the 10xx series. My max to spend on a card right now would be around $550 but I also would like to not over spend as I like new things and would be tempted to get a newer card no matter the amount i spend on the one in the near future. I play at 60hz right now and don't plan on going to 144hz in the near future if that helps :D.

Solution
For 1080p 60 Hz, GTX 1060 6gb is good enough.
Or you can get GTX 1070 and a 1080p 144Hz monitor, but it will exceed your budget.
Or GTX 1080 and 1440p 144Hz monitor :)

Thanks for the advise, i will most likely be getting the 1060 6gb, as from what u said if i get 1070 or 1080 i might aswell go to 144hz to see the best results out of those 2 cards :D
