Hi All, black Friday sales are almost here and I am planning on picking up a new CPU. I was wondering if I would have enough power to upgrade to an i7 6700k or 7700k(not sure yet). I currently have an i5 6500.

PSU: SilverStone Technology 500W SFX-L Form Factor 80 PLUS GOLD

GPU: ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1070 Mini 8GB
MOBO: Gigabyte H170n Wifi mini itx
CPU COOLER: NH-L9I Noctua
PERIPHERALS: Mouse, keyboard, headset, 2 monitors, etc

I'm not sure if a 500w is enough for a 1070 and an i7 plus all the other generic power consumers of my pc, all responses help, thanks!

Yes you have enough power.

All the right connections and 40 amps on the PSU's 12v+ rail is plenty of power.

And one of the best SF power supplies on the market.

A ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1070 Mini 8GB setup needs - 26 amps on the 12+ rail and at least a 500w Power Supply.

Your PSU exceeds all requirements power and PCIE connections.
