I'm looking to get the most FPS for my money and I was wondering which of these combos would be better:

Cpu: Ryzen 7 1700 or 1700x
Gpu: Gtx 1070 8GB
VS.
Cpu: Ryzen 5 1600 or 1600x
Gpu: Gtx 1080 8GB

Both combos are around the same price range but I just want to know which combo would get me the most FPS in 1080p or 1440p on titles such as PUBG, GTA 5, Rainbow Six Seige, etc.

BTW all other parts will remain the same as in here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wv6zqk

Solution
The monitor info would be most crucial here. The ryzen would max abt 100fps in optimized games and 70fps (?) in badly optimized games(like pubg) . If you have it paired with a radeon/freesync, u can go for 144hz without a problem.

Anyway, here is a suggestion :

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor ($193.44 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: MSI - B350 TOMAHAWK PLUS ATX AM4 Motherboard ($81.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($149.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: SK hynix - SL308 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($78.89 @ OutletPC)
Storage: Seagate - Constellation...
If for gaming only, 2nd combo and add a 1440p 144Hz monitor, in this case, gsync :)

Very good PSU choice, you know what you are building :) Some tweaks on ram, 3000 is $40 less, perform similarly, MB has cheaper replacement as well, assuming you want red/black theme. You can tweak anything you want.
