I have G.Skill Aegis 8GB DDR4 3000MHz
CPU is ryzen 5 1600
The mobo ram list is

1866 MHz, 2133 MHz, 2400 MHz, 2667OC MHz, 2933OC MHz, 3200OC MHz

Since 3000 isn't there will it run at 2933;

Solution
that is out of both our hands. depends on the equipment you have. silicon lottery.
most people have been hitting a wall at around 3000. that would be my target.

they are roughly the same speed.
my DDR3 1600 is running at 1607 and that is stock. it is easier to round up to 3000 or own to 1600 for marketing than to tell the truth and say 2933 or 1607 the difference is mainly in the memory multiplier.
the memory controller is on the CPU not the motherboard. to achieve the speeds listed you will need to overclock the memory controller, hence the OC at the end of anything higher than 2400

no it will be running 2400 without OC
you can make it go faster and ryzen loves the bandwidth.
by getting the faster RAM the RAM can run at spec when the memory controller is overclocked.
really you should be able to enable XMP/DOCP/EOCP in the BIOS/UEFI

(XMP/DOCP/EOCP are names for the same basic feature set for overclocking the RAM. depending on what motherboard you have will determine what the feature will be called)
