Brand new gaming PC cut out while gaming and won’t turn back on

I ordered a new gaming PC and it arrived two days ago, last night I was 10 minutes into Skyrim and it just cut off. I tried turning it back on but there was literally no sign of life at all, no fans, lights or anything, and I tried again this morning, still nothing.

I tried a different power cable from my old PC but that didn’t work. Holding the on button to drain the capacitors and then plugging in the cable also didn’t work.

It’s only 2 days old so I don’t understand what could go so wrong. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Here are my computer specs:

CPU: Intel i5-7400
GPU: GTX 1060 (6GB)
RAM: 8GB
PSU: Cool Master 500 ATX
OS: Windows 10

Solution
the issues is your power supply was slightly to small for a gaming pc and the unit used was not that good and the power supply has failed. with power supply it not the total output you need to look at but the amp rating on the 12v rail. with a gaming pc you want 100w more then needed so the 12v rail has more amps then needed. running a power supply near it max output will shorten it life. on unit cosair and seasonic unit like the 620w seasonic are a better unit then the one you had. to check for power supply failure need a volt meter and check the outputs at the 24 pin atx connector. make sure they stay withing spec. as the unit should be withing warranty return the unit for refund/repair.
