That's not a bad deal at all. The limiting factor is whatever stock PSU is in there. I'm not familiar with retail HP units, so I don't know if their cases will fit standard power supplies. If you can verify that the PSU can be swapped with a beefier unit later (if required) then I think it's a good deal.

You might have to get a better PSU as the prebuilds do not usually come with quality PSU. But otherwise it looks pretty dope at that price. You can go for it.

It's an hp pavilion they don't accept standard psu's unless using an adapter which may or may not work.

The case can be swapped for a standard Mid Tower. Although it does raise a flag on warranty.

I'm not talking about the case but the motherboard. Hp has been using non standard connectors in their pc's for the last 3-4 years quite often.

I have seen people using standard PSU with their HP machine. Although I am not sure about the motherboard connectors.

I really appreciate these answers. I can see that maybe an upgrade may not be so easy unless I can also upgrade the PSU. I think I saw that it is only 300w. This is the problem with my current computer that I need to replace. If the motherboard connectors are standard, does that mean less limitation to the GPU I want to upgrade to?

There isn't much info about this one but if everything is standard you can put ANY gpu in there as long as:
1. you upgrade the psu so the gpu can be powered
2. it fits

It comes with a 300W power supply. However it is of standard size and can be swapped out later. If you have a COSTCO visa card it will extend the warranty on it to 2 years instead of one.
