Hello,
I've got these 2 issues going on for a while - first of all PC sometimes (like 2-3 times per day) shut downs itself, and second issue is sometimes screen goess blank (whole screen is white/grey color) and PC starts rebooting.
Im going to explain clues i've got in two separate points however they might be related.

1. PC shuts down.
- Usualy when playing games, however sometimes happens while browsing web.
- Happned before but only during hot weather, I used to open PC or point fan at him which worked back then, however not anymore (i vacum cleaned PC and closed it).
-It occured every time i started game (League of Legends) and client launched the actual game, however i managed to cope with that by turning of high performance mode and browser for as long as game was loading. Game doesnt run too smooth without high performance mode. Temperature is around ~80 degrees while playing, while browser opened right now its ~55 degrees.
-Tried scaning for viruses but didnt get expected results.
- PC is not new - bought it as new in 2010.
2. Screen goes grey and reboots.
-Happens usually when browsing web, usually while watching some videos but that might just coincidence since I watch videos on YT /live streams a lot.
- never ever happned while playing games.
- it happned in the past, however did not occur for a long period of time and it occured diferent way - screen was going various colors and sounds glitched for few second (loud screetch).

For last 1,5 year I havnt been using my PC as much as I do for past 3 months. I used to screw around the internet and watch some funny stuff, no playing, no more than 5h a day. Now I play a lot and my PC is running for 10h+ a day.

My specs:
Procesor: AMD FX-6100 Black Edition 6-Core Bulldozer 6x 3.9GHz
motherboard: ASUS M5A78L-M LX AM3+
sound card High Definition Audio
network interface card 10/100/1000 Mbit/s
graphic card: AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series
RAM: 8GB 1333MHz DDR3
HDD: 500GB SATA 3
burner DVDRW Double Layer
power suply: ATX 600W

My guess is thermal paste, however the issue with screen going blank made me think it could be something with graphics and now im clueless since it could be anything for me, also there are so many variations of these issues I cant figure it out myself. Hope you can help! :)

Solution
I had this issue with the pc going into reboot without warning.
I narrowed it down to a problem with the RAM. If your weather is humid this might happen sometimes.
I solved it by doing the following, a friend asked me to do and it solved the issue.
Remove the RAM, use an eraser and rub it over the golden metallic part of the ram that goes onto the socket, rub both sides, then use a paper and wipe both sides gently.
I dont know the science behind it but it worked for me, and it did not damage the ram whatsoever, also blow some air into the ram socket.

Well i searched the net and it turns out rubbing with an eraser will wipe out anything on the ram (moisture, etc) but that produces some static electricity, rubbing the paper clears that static electricity.
Thats a homemade solution, gets the job done, but preferably there are some fancy alcohol that you can use to clean it up.... I didn't have so many things lying in my house.. hope it helps
