Hello, I have this motherboard http://www.foxconnchannel.com/ProductDetail.aspx?T=Motherboard&U=en-us0000162

I have installed drivers from this website and also newest version available for Realtek ALC653 but no matter what I cant get the sound working. I'm on WindowsXP.

Volume Control and everything is in place, no missing drivers in Device manager, yet no sound.

I tried with my tablet, speakers are working.

Any idea how to fix this?

Buying a cheap sound card is a reasonable option, but if the volume meters are moving, that's suggests to me the sound chip is working. Do you have another pair of speakers or headphones to try in the line out jack? Do you have a 2nd headphone jack on the front of your case?

Yes, nothing unusual there.

A very basic point but i'll say it anyway, double check your speakers are plugged into the middle line out jack.

Also in your Volume Mixer do you see the volume meter going up and down or is there no movement? Even if your external speakers are turned off you should still see the volume meters moving. If not then the computer is not supplying audio to the speakers.

It is moving, everything looks like there is no problem, only that no sound is provided!

Is it possible sound chip is just not working anymore?

I might need to get cheap sound card in that case.. :/
