Spec'd a PC Build, want to know your thoughts and critique

Hi Everyone,

So as per the title, looking to get a pc built through pcspecialist.co.uk. I've picked the parts and want to know your thoughts and critique. Nothing is set in stone however I do like the new GTX 1070TI so wanna keep that in the list. One thing I've really struggled to understand, is the complementing of graphics card and processor, I'm unsure when he processor is overkill or a bottleneck. Game is for purely gaming and I play titles such as Siege, PUBG, Friday 13th, Battlefield 1. Let me know your thoughts and recommendations.

go new gen on the cpu, 1 TB of SSD is al right, me personally would get a smaller SSD and raid 0 two couple TB HDD for the space. the program you want fast are fast and you cans till store plenty. not much point getting ram that's OC'ed as high as that the gain is not massive and it can be quite the cause for system instability.

An i5x on a 299 board, with a 1070ti, good lord, dont do it!

Go coffee lake, a 1080ti and save alot of money.

For gaming Coffee Lake is better. With the money saved you can get a better gpu which will give significant gains.

Yes, that and a z370 motherboard. With that savings you can get a 1080ti, and still save money.

Nothing wrong with your current choices for RAM and SSD. Personally, i would get a 250 or 500gb SSD with a 2TB WD Black drive for games and storage etc. But thats just my preference.

Yeah I agree, probably will go to a 500gb SSD. I'll take a look around at pc builders that can offer these components. Know any good ones, I know PCbuilder doesn't have the Intel Coffee Lake Core i7-8700K..

Do you have any money saved or are you just going to finance? Also if you already have a build if you list out the specs there's probably parts we can reuse and essentially save you quite a bit of cash. This way you hopefully won't need to finance this build and can get something better.

Finance was the best option to get it as soon as possible haha. But potentially I can save and wait a while... The build I had, gave to a family member as I spent the last year travelling.
