So I decided to benchmark my build, and I came across a problem. My SSD, was only at the 34th percentile. So, I want to know what is wrong with it, or could be wrong with it.

This is the benchmark, I hope you guys can view it. My system drive is the Kingston SSD, well it is my only SSD, so it shouldn't be too hard to spot.

I've freed as much as I can. Other than the 1 game I have on the thing, the rest are OS, and browser stuff. Admittedly, the 1 game is 30GB. Still I have a good 23~GB free, that's about 25% of the drive.

Check in the addiotional Power Settings that you have set it in High Performance.
Check if your drivers are up to date (recommend scanning with Driver Easy for that).

No Alignment Errors, all my ports should be 6 Satas, and I think I have it as AHCI, but I'll check later. Managed to get another 20 GB free by getting rid of the Hibernate file, and the intel realsense sdk. However, my score is now lower then it was before, and is now in the 29th percentile.

Alright, change my power settings, and my percentile changed to the 46th, the strange thing though, is that only the 4k test results changed drastically. While the others improved a bit, it was only by 3%~

Kingston SSDNow V300 120GB-$65
Performing as expected (46th percentile)

Sequential
25% 114 MB/s WAS 22%

Random 4k
97% 43.1 MB/s WAS 80%~

Deep queue 4k
32% 68 MB/s WAS 24%~

Now I'm even more confused. Why is my Sequential, and Deep queue so low?

Apparently I have the V300. My firmware is the 506A.

I just compared the specs listed in the link sent by rgd1101. While a bit below them, it matched the numbers in the graph for my ssd. In other words, my SSD is working at factory capacity... Still, when compared to the 505A, mine is much worse isn't it...

So wait, the previous version of my kingston is better than the version I bought which was newer, if only slightly?

yup the "new" revision is cheaper to make, but lower performance.
