I want to ask can external hard drive delete what it stored in it by it's own? I had a file called autorun.inf on almost all my external hard disks I do not know if it is from the disk itself to run without problem or it means the hard disk in infected with something like a virus , can this file affect my external hard disk and can lead to loss my files?
