Heys guys,

I'm a little noob on this PC things, so don't judge me :p

I got a Gaming PC with +/- 6 years old from a friend but with, i think, kinda good specs (you guys tell me):

CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1100T 3,8GHz;
Motherboard: ASUS Crosshair IV Formula;
RAM: 8GB DD3 1600MHz;
3 graphic cards AMD Radeon HD 6990.
SSD: 60GB

So my questions are about this 3 Radeon 6990. One of them, I just can't understand why but it's not recognized by Windows or any program. I think that the card is in the proper slot in Motherboard but somehow it's not recognized by any software and, for that reason, i unplugged the power cables from it. Anyone knows if it's possible to work with 3 graphic cards to, for example, play some games? Or it doesn't worth trying?
The other 2 are working, crossfire enable (i think) and they are overclocked. But here's the question: HD 6990 has two GPU but the AMD software only shows one working:

So, is this normal or what?

Using GPU-Z, it shows 4 GPU enable (crossfire enable) but checking the sensors in each card shows the same thing that the AMD software. Again, is this normal?

Another question: is this PC just good enough to play, for example, Fortnite? If so, why at Very high graphics in the game i drop so many frames? like playing at 20/25 frames.

Again, i'm kinda noob so... also my english it's not my mother language so a few errors may appear...

Thank you for your helps guys.

PS: i wrote before: "crossfire enable (i think)..." because there's this benchmark that tells me that crossfire is disable... its to many things that i dont understand.

You cant use three of those cards, you can enable up to a max of 4 GPUs for gaming, and you have 2 per card. So you are at 4 GPUs with 2 cards.
That being said, its entirely pointless.

Next to no games take advantage of 2 GPUs, let alone 3, 4 are absolutely worthless.

I would sell the cards and try to buy a single, modern card.

Ok, ty.
My friend had this pc for Bitcoin mining, that's why he told me why the 3 graphics cards (I don't understand anything about Bitcoin).
Do you think getting a new card will be enough to run some modern games? What would you suggest considering this mother board? I don't want to spend a lot on this pc.
