So, to begin, I WILL have around a $1500CND (roughly $1200USD) budget for this.

I already have a power supply (500w), CPU cooler(212 EVO), SSD (120GB) and all peripherals.

I need: CPU, GPU, RAM, Motherboard and POSSIBLY a nice case if I can afford it.

I was thinking:
CPU: i7-6700k (or 7700k, whichever fits best)
GPU: EVGA - GeForce GTX 1070 8GB SC Gaming ACX 3.0
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16gb DDR4-3000
MOBO: Asus - STRIX Z270-E GAMING ATX LGA1151

Let me know what you think. I am open to change, this is just what I found.

I know Canada has extra tax on those, this is the best you can get. Add a 1080p 144Hz monitor in the future.

I heard Zotac was a cheap alternative. I could be wrong of course, this is just what I heard.

Also, since that is 1292$ Would you (in your opinion) spend the remaining money and improve the CPU?
I have an FX-8350 at the moment, it seems to be bottlenecking while playing CoD WWII and running high through some other games. Not sure if it's a good cpu still.

You can double check. Zotac is good brand too, all brands have defective units. FX-series is dead, sell.
