Hey,

I'm looking at getting and i7 6700k, and i am going to overclock it to 4.4 GHz. I was looking at getting a corsair hydro h50 120mm rad cooler.

Would this be nough to cool this cpu?

Thanks

An air cooler is typically a better, more reliable option than a low end AIO that costs a similar amount. Something like an Cryorig H5 would cost similar to a Corsair H50 I believe, and perform better.

That being said, I have a 6700K overclocked to 4.5 GHz and a basic CM 212 EVO is good enough. Although the fans may get a little louder than some people would prefer.

This literally was the aio I was considering when I found this thread asking the same thing! Well, the rgb version has come out but still... as for further stating what others have said, air cooling is better at the lower budget end of story, I made the compromise because I like rgb :) but that’s different altogether.
