Do i need the dust filters.

i am deciding between a silent based case (bequiet! pure) and a dust filtered case(phanteks p400)

Dust filters are a good thing overall.

All depends on how dusty your house is, PC sitting on carpet and or have pets.

I would not buy a case that doesn't have case filters.
It much easier to clean filters than the PC. You will still need to clean the PC some but not near as often.

No case with moving parts is silent.
It can be quiet though.
Do some research at http://www.silentpcreview.com/ for good info on quiet computing.

My requirements would be for a case with two 140mm front intake fans that are filtered.
A single 180/200 mm fan is also ok.

Buy a case with easy to remove and clean filters,
At a glance, you can tell if they need cleaning.
I probably do it no more often than once every 4 months.
