Please help...
I want to upgrade my laptop RAM from 4Gb to 8Gb, and I dont know what type of RAM sholud I buy.
On RAM says: PC3-12800S-11-10-F2 (so it means that is a 1600MHz CL11 right?), but when on CPU-Z says CL9...
So the questin is, what type of RAM sholud I buy to work properly?
Thanks for all the answers...

Solution
At 1600 MHz (1600 MT/s) the CAS Latency should be 11. But for CAS Latency of 9, the frequency would (usually) have to drop.

Using CPU-Z, check CAS Latency's for different frequencies under the SPD tab.

Compatible memory can be found by using memory manufacturer website memory search tools.

It is actually recommended to buy a 2 x 4 GB dual channel kit to replace the existing 4 GB memory module, since the modules within the kit are guaranteed to be compatible.

When buying a separate 4 GB module (even if it the same model / part number as the existing 4 GB module), there is a risk of incompatibility between the individual memory modules due to variations in module characteristics. So in this case it might require trying several...

When buying a separate 4 GB module (even if it the same model / part number as the existing 4 GB module), there is a risk of incompatibility between the individual memory modules due to variations in module characteristics. So in this case it might require trying several individual modules until an inter-module compatible combination is found.
