So i just built a computer for my buddy, and totally not working, all he gets is blue screens that say Whea_Uncorrectable_Error, it only crashes after launching programs or just randomly. we have done a clean install of windows 10 home and that doesn't seem to be the problem. I need Help ASAP.

Mobo BIOS up to date? You guys trying to OC anything? Does the system work properly using the integrated video adapter (vice the GTX)?

Were you able to update Windows? Drivers updated?

What have you guys tried to do to address the issues?

we have not updated the bios nor have we tried overclocking the processor, all bios settings are default as the motherboard came, we also have not tried on board graphics since the graphics card is working. the computer has crashed after a benchmark of total war hammer 2. we have also tried to fix the issue from info online but nothing has solved the issue yet

Just updated the bios and all the remaining drivers, once i go to install a game it crashes with that code Whea_Uncorectable_Error. tested the cpu with Prime95 and it seems to be running just fine. anyone got any ideas?

Im still wondering if the ram could be the problem because we are running 2400mhz ram yet the cpu says it supports 2666mhz as frequency, could this be the issue?

No. Support is up to 2666. Slower speeds are fine.

could it be a ssd issue? because the gpu, power supply and the hardrive were used in his old build and worked perfectly fine. so that leaves the problem to be the cpu, motherboard , ram or ssd.

no cpu runs at about 30 degrees so it couldn't be overheating, I just found out it will only crash when I try to download something. could it be an ssd problem? because It works fine otherwise, just I cant download anything, also changed the hardrive out with a brand new 1tb hardrive and that doesn't seem to be the problem, I'm still thinking it could be the ssd

I just ran that test and the cpu passed all of it, the temp stayed around 45 degrees below max so I don't think its a cpu problem. it will crash half way through a big download for a game. any more ideas?

If the OS installation was done while the hard drive was in another system, then it is NOT a clean install as we would see it. There will be incompatibilities due to previous drivers and resource configurations based on the chipset and hardware that were in the other system, not based on what is in the current system.

If that is the actual case, I would highly suggest that you perform a CLEAN install of the operating system while the HDD or SSD is IN the current system so that no other prior configuration can be contributing to the problems you are having. More often than not when an install is done elsewhere and moved to the target system, the results are less than desirable.

but I already performed a clean install prior to me changing the hardrive. do you think windows could be causing the problem because right now my only problem is it blue screens while I'm downloading big programs
