Installing Drivers and partitioning

I've just about finished my first build but my old DVD/CD Drives use IDE and my new motherboard is all SATA so I can't use the Cd that came with my motherboard to install the drivers until I get a SATA DVD drive. My question is could I download the Drivers from my Motherboard's manufacture and put them on a USB drive and install them that way? Also a follow up question. I was told I would have to wipe my Hard drive and do a clean install of the OS but was wondering if I could Partition a part of my hard drive and use the new partition for my motherboard set up? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Entirely unsure of where you're going with this.
Get 2 USB sticks
1 for the OS install, and 1 for the drivers for all your hardware.

Yes, you could put them on a different partition, but that's way more work than it needs to be, to save $5 for a second USB stick.
As far as the above comment on Windows.old? Not sure what that is supposed to achieve, but disregard that.

Yeah I know I've done it before. I just wanted to know if partitioning would keep me from having to wipe my Hard drive clean/waiting for a new one to arrive in the mail.

if you reinstall windows with a flash drive, the previous version of windows will be kept in a folder labeled Windows.old
You won't have to wipe it, and you won't lose anything, but you'll have to reinstall some programs.

Alright let me just make sure I'm understanding this.
1.Make one USB a OS Install disk
2. Download All the drivers from here https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/B250M-HDV/index.us.asp#Download and place them on a second USB(Do I need to install them on to the second flash drive or can I simply just have them on there?)
3.Plug both USBs into my build.
4.Install Windows
5.Install Drivers
and that's it?

Drivers also means GPU, mouse and kbd if you have some fancy stuff.

You don't need both plugged in at the same time
OS install first, get it up and running. Then the drivers.

As far as "that's it"...there will be a ton of OS updates to run.
