Hello everyone, im about to install my new amd card ( i had another amd card, a r9 270), and i wanted to uninstall all the gpu drivers and install the new ones ( the old ones were crashing all the time), so i read somewhere that Display Driver Uninstaller is a great tool for that. So i wanted to know something, what else do i need besides the gpu drivers? Does it uninstall anything else than gpu drivers? Do i need my windows fully updated (because it isnt)? Thx in advance!!!

Solution
Ideally you want an updated OS. the GPU drivers will work even on older software.
DDU as the name say is just for the display drivers.
DDU and the new drivers is all you need.

I've just updated my OS, cant install the last one but it doesnt seems important, says something about internet explorer 11. Anyways, read somewhere that using DDU makes your usb ports useless. Is that true? Sorry for the dumb questions, im new at building pcs and uninstalling gpu drivers

I have not had any issues with it.

"RECOMMENDED USAGE :
-The tool can be used in Normal mode but for absolute stability when using DDU, Safemode is always the best.
-Make a backup or a system restore (but it should normally be pretty safe).
-It is also recommended to put the DDU folder in your antivirus/protection software exclusion list."

that second point is a biggie.
given the myriad combinations of drivers, hardware, and registry settings I can imagine a teensy amount of people having some issue as DDU deletes keys from the registry, nothing is perfect.
