My pc:

i7-5820k overclocked 4.1Ghz 1200V
x99s msi plus
16g ram
psu 1000w corsair
ssd 840 evo
gtx 1080 ti

My pc freezes randomly 4/5 times a week. I have tested the ssd and ram and are all fine. I read in forums that they achieved stability with only 1.100v at 4.1 ghz. Should i increase the voltage more or is something else is wrong? Is every chip so different? Also i ran aida64 for 2 hours and show no errors.

Hi there, I have the same mobo and cpu .I've had some freezing and crashing issues that I've narrowed down to memory and have had my 5820 running at 4.0 for over a year with no adjustment to voltage. As far as I know most chips are not created equally (hence the silicon lottery saying) but a 5820 is one of the better overclockers out there and should easily be able to handle 4.1 ghz .

Have you tried the 4.1 OC at stock voltage?
Have you changed the bclock?
What speed is your memory and did you have any trouble getting the correct speed with XMP?

Underneath the 1.150V my pc crashes. So stock voltage is out of the question.
No i havent.
My ram is ddr4 at 2400hz
