I remember having to recover the keys from the registry like so.
I read a few other threads after posting and found someone's comment explaining that while they don't have an online activation (and never did), they do in fact have product keys. TIL. My install disc must have a script that puts the key in automatically (it's not an original install disc, I got it from one of my professors).
