Front USB3.0 port reads only USB 2.0 devices

Hey folks, hope you are all ok. So here's the build I'm currently working on:

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600X
Motherboard: Asrock AB350M
Memory: 8GB Kingston HyperX 2400Mhz
Case: Corsair Spec-01
OS: Windows 10 Home
PSU: EVGA 500W 80+ White

Here's the weird situation I'm facing: the case has 2 USB front ports (2.0 and 3.0) the 2.0 port works fine, however the 3.0 one simply doesn't read USB 3.0 devices (it reads USB 2.0 ones no problem though). I have double checked and did not find any bent pins on the connector, I suppose it is a power related issue but I'm not quite sure. Any feedbacks will be much appreciated. Thanks!

Yes sir, I have it installed, I have triple checked everything and the build is ok, also there are no bent pins on the usb3 connector on the motherboard whatsoever. I suspect this is a driver issue because once I installed the chipset driver provided by AMD (v. 17.30) I managed to get a usb3 stick to read, but after I removed it and plugged it back on, it didn't read anymore.

Also I know it is not a power related issue because I have a WD Passport USB 3 1TB here and whenever I connect it to said port, it powers up and Windows 10 even recognizes it as a USB device, it just doesn't recognizes it as an external HDD drive. The same applies to a PNY 128GB USB 3 stick I have here, which blinks a red light when plugged in. It lights up but that's it.

I have emailed ASRock to see what's their opinion on this, but haven't got any replies yet, maybe because it's weekend.

Still counting on you guys though.

Thanks!

This indeed seems more like a driver problem than a power problem. The problem is that the USB 3 front hub, which is generally listed as "Asmedia usb3.0 extensible host controller" doesn't even show on Device Manager. Still trying to figure out a solution for this, I have contacted ASRock by email but apparently they must have forgotten about me.

Thanks again!
