Using old HDD's

Solution
Unless there is damage, the old data should be intact on the drive.

If you try to install Windows on it, there is a chance it might delete the old data. You should back up anything you don't want to lose before a Windows instillation. Other than that, if you add it in after Windows is installed and working on another drive, it will be a storage drive and you data will be waiting there.
