It's set to turn the screen off after 10 minutes and go to sleep after 30, and it used to, but lately it is always staying on. I have to always get up and manually turn the monitor off. Under power management, the network adapter is not set to wake the PC. I have uninstalled apple software... Don't know what else to do...

Solution
Sounds like it could be a keying program running on your computer and is set to run at start up but that would only address your screen inputting a bunch of +++. As for your monitor not going off I'm not sure what else I could suggest.. Can you upload a photo of the problem??

Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Power Options ->Edit Plan Settings

Everything you need to set should be in there. I'm thinking your plan settings got changed. Check it in there.

Hope that helps!

It's all good there... The other night I went to another room for a couple hours, I came back out later and the screen is scrolling down endlessly. I unplug the mouse and keyboard but it's still going. I turn the PC off and forget about it. Then, just before, again I left the room for a couple hours, I go back out there and of course, the damn screen is still on. I click on the address bar and I get +++++++++ over and over. I unplug the keyboard but it keeps going on and on.

Please tell me I am not being hacked... I'm really freaking out :( The PC never sleeps
