I thought i'd upgrade my ram since my Corsair Vengeance Pro Silver 8GB KIT CL9-10-9-27 1866Mhz (2X4gb) was getting a wee bit old now.
I opted for the Corsair vengeance pro CL9 kit 2X8gb at 1600mhz DDR3 but my computer won't detect any more than 8GB's of it.
Tried all sockets one at a time, the outcome is the same, only 8gb. Tried the bios too, set it to automatically recognize the new ram (XMP profile), saved the settings, exited, rebooted still only 8gb.
Tried under the windows advanced settings, the memory is not limited either.
i'm at a loss here.

CPU:Intel i7 4790
GPU:MSI GTX 1080
MB:ASUS Maximus Hero VII
MEM:Corsair Vengeance Pro Silver 8GB KIT CL9-10-9-27
PSU: Corsair CX750M
