Hi everyone,

I have a system with 8gb of RAM however I am having issues when it comes to running games. I play games such as Rainbow Six siege, GTA V etc. The issue seems to be more prominent with Rainbow. Whenever I play for more than one hour the PC says I am running out of memory, if I close the box and ignore it the game will run for a minute but then just crash. I am really confused by this because I have more than is required to run the game. I have already tried increasing the virtual memory however it has made no difference. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Specs:
AMD Athlon X4 860K
ASUS Radeon RX 460
8gb ddr3 RAM

Thanks alot.

Callum

Solution
Try monitoring your memory usage. It should increase natualy when you play, but stay under your total size. After that crash 8when the game has let go all it used) the memory should be pretty much empty, leaving only what Windows is using itself.
Make sure there are less other programs running in the background. Stuff like recording software (looking at you, GameDVR) web browsers (those are hungry, without exceptions), music player, all the fancy messenger and voice stuff.
Be sure you got pretty much only the game running.
If it says stable, you got your issue. If it still crashes there might be something else eating your memory.
