Best CPU for gaming.

Hello everyone am going to build a gaming PC but am confused what should I buy. Guys please tell me the best CPU combo for hardcore gaming CPU and motherboard combo under 500usd
Intel 8th generation 15 8600k
Amd ryzen 7 1700x
Or Intel 7th generation i7 7700k
Wich one is boss just for gaming.?

i5 8600k is the best choice for Gaming, not only you can later upgrade it because of the Z370 Motherboard, but it performs way better in gaming than any Ryzen CPU, and is slightly better than the i7 7700k too. So the 8600k is your best choice.

i5 8600k imho, or even 8700k if it's possible

if the budget is too tight, the i7 7700k is still pretty great [keep in mind though the platform already got replaced with LGA 1151+ for the coffelake, so no upgrade path there]

if u're planning on streaming too, the 8th gen / Ryzen is better imho

pretty much all of the Z370 mobo starts around 100$ so u'll have a lot of option to go
