So, my PC that I built takes up a total of 412w, and my power supply is a 650w psu. My question is, is the current PSU that I have good enough for my current build. I understand that it’s an extra my PSU has an extra 200w, but from what I’ve heard from experienced builders, they make it seem like it’s best to get a PSU that is atleast around 900w because you don’t want to take the risk of overworking your PSU.

Solution
gtx 1080 ~180W
CPU ~ 91W
Others ~ 50W
plus 25% head room -> 400+W good quality PSU is good enough, G2 is very good, should last very long :) Good choice.

Intel i7 6700k cpu

Asus rog strix z270f motherboard

Nvidia GeForce gtx 1080

Kingston hyperX 2x 8gb ram sticks

Three corsair ML 120 120mm pwm fans

Cryogrig h7 cpu tower cooler

Western digital 1TB hard drive

Samsung 500GB ssd

And the PSU is a EVGA SuperNOVA g2 650w 80+ gold certified PSU (bought it new, I know not buy used PSUs)
