i3 8100 + GTX 1080 Ti Gaming X OC vs i5 8600k + GTX 1070 Aero

Which one is better for gaming and multi threading? I know the i5 is way better than the i3 in multi threading but i am planning to upgrade from the i3 8100 to the fastest CPU in a few years so i thought maybe getting the GTX 1080 Ti now would be best. Any other recommendations are appreciated.

I would get the 8100/1080 ti if you only game and have no need for the extra cores/threads, plus if your gaming above 1080P (or even 2/4K DSR) then most of the gaming load is going to offset more to the GPU.

There's really no one perfect card, the best cooling is going to be liquid cooling or getting a AIO card such as the EVGA Hybrid or MSI Seahawk while other cards like the Asus Strix or Zotac AMP Extreme may be quieter. TBH I'd actually look at this Gigabyte GTX 1080 ti Gaming OC since the price is really good for a triple fan card.

No problem, I would also suggest creating a custom fan profile so you can balance cooling/noise to your preference.
