So i have an acer computer and my friend spilled water into the back and it got on the Motherboard and it wont work. I have another prebuilt computer. but i need the storage from the broken pc. and i tried to switch the hard drives but when i do the computer wont display. I figured out that the hard drive has to plugged into a specific sata port. I plugged the old harddrive in and it boot but it wont boot into windows normally. it goes into repair mode and says that it can restore to an earlier point. i dont want to lose any data. Why wont the working computer boot into windows normally when i switch out the hard drives?
