Before we had 40 down and 40 up, I could download a game @ full speed (4MB/s) and the net would be fine, could play games with 5 ping (csgo) whilst downloading.

Now we have 100 down / 100 up and I nor my brother can download or upload anything without the internet "resetting".

What happens is the internet slowly goes up to max download speed @ usually 8-10MB/s then resets back down to 0MB/s then slowly starts to work its way up to max speed again, this happens on anything we download on (Steam, Origin, Google Drive) whilst this is happening we cant load any webpages or load any videos, they are just blank or give us a "No internet connection" error until we stop the download.

Upload speed is "fine" other than it only going up to 4MB/s other than 8-10 like the download but im sure thats with the ISP.

Also, if we load a server browser in a game (CSGO, Call of Duty, any game that has a server browser) the internet stops responding and does the same as above.

Router: TP-Link AC1350
OS: We are both using Windows 10 with latest updates.

We are both hooked directly to the router.
Line is Fiber Optic.

We don't use any PCIe ethernet adapters, we use the motherboard ethernet plug. We also have different motherboards so I doubt they have the same exact problem.

It could be the router but it is hard to say. Your first test should be to plug a pc directly into the modem device. There is quite a lot of variation on fiber termination devices work, some you can just plug in other you must do the same trick as you do with a cable modem and power cycle it to change the device.

In general the symptom you describe sounds like something (I would say cable modem if this was cable) detected too many errors while you were transferring and reset the connection. There maybe something wrong with the connection to your house.

Until you can show it plugged directly into the ISP device they will blame your router. It can be a defective router but the router may also not be powerful enough to run a 100mbps connection. I am too lazy to dig around and find the cpu rates etc but that router only has 100mbps wan and lan ports. The vendor is unlikely to have matched that with a high power cpu. Then again the chips are pretty cheap so it should be able to keep up.

Strict NAT is on a game console most time is some issue with support of UPnP. It is not really related to the quality or speed of the connection. If the box your ISP provides is more than just some kind of fiber converter and has a router function then having 2 routers in the path will make UPnP not function correctly. It can also be that your ISP does not provide you with public routable ip addresses.

Both computers are plugged directly into the router, there are no other routers plugged in.

We have also had 3 different routers from different manufacturers. Not really sure what the issue is, doubt its our computers because I've had 2 different computers since I've lived at this house.

Tried:
Updating router firmware (There was none)
Resetting router completely
Disabling random stuff in the router
Adding ports

The ethernet cable that is plugged into the router (The one that provies the internet) we have it running underground w/ some underground branded ethernet cable thats expensive as shit. It comes directly from the box outside attached to our house. Maybe that is the issue?
