Hi guys,

Any idea what's the minimum power supply capacity I should go for asus maximus5 formula board with a gtx 660 ti gpu?

Been using this pc for 7 years and now pc currently having random restarting issues and it's getting on my nerves.

Yes that event ID can refer to improper shutdown/reboot which can be a sign that the PSU is faulty or failing.

As far as I remember the A0 on Asus boards is not en error, on the contrary, it's an indication that everything in the board/system is OK and working.

Try booting the system with another PSU if possible. If the PSU is 7 years old too, I'd say it's time you got a new unit.

What are other system specs? Do you overclock anything, CPU, GPU?

You'd be OK with 450W but it's always better to have some headroom. A good 550W would be ideal and make the PSU to some extent future-proof.

Might also not be a bad idea to check other parts like the motherboard. The restarts might not necessarily be the PSU's fault, although, that's usually the most likely scenario.

SSD: Adata 120gb
HDD: Western digital 1.5tb
Samsung optical drive
2 corsair low profile ram
Noctua cpu air cooler

Nothing much power drawing.

My pc is experiencing random restarts, event id 41 task 63.
Motherboard debug shows A0

After reading all the solutions from the community I think it's my power supply so can it be narrowed down to PSU problem?
