What type of memory do I need?

What parts of the PC has to be compatible with the RAM. I am pretty sure it's just the CPU and motherboard but just in case, I'd like to know.

I am going to be using an intel core i5-7600k processor with an MSi Z270-A Pro motherboard. What type of RAM what I need for those? Non-ECC vs ECC? What other parts of the RAM would those be compatible with?

No, the CPU shows that it supports 2133/2400 however the motherboard will support higher speeds, just enable XMP in the BIOS.
