Good Morning.

I was trying to recover (2) 500g HDD I used to use in raid config.

Plugged em both into my pc on un-used SATA cables and started the machine.

Both were recognized by BIOS just fine. Both were initially found no problem in Disk Manager.

1 Drive reformatted in about a minute and worked no problem. The second one got stuck in reformatting. The Disk Manager ultimately got stuck in “not responding”. I tried to reboot and then the machine got stuck on the reboot screen. Half an hour later I hard shut down.

Upon restarting windows starting screen (win 10) comes up but spins indefinitely.

Removing the SATA and it boots up fine. Plugging SATA in while booted then locks up the Disk Manager that never gets past virtual Disk check.

Removing SATA in Disk Manager instantly resolves they hang up and Disk Manager detects all normal drives (not the storage device since I unplugged it).

Something got corrupted reformatting that Disk and now it hangs up and I can’t reformat!

Is there a way to force format? Bios still detects the drive as 500g drive but windows hangs up if it’s plugged in.
