A Watt-meter shows a consumption of ~37W. CoolerMaster's online Power-Supply-Calculator says 159W. Who's correct ?

Hello,

Kindly help me to solve this dilemma.

I purchased a Watt-meter and I plugged only my computer case through it (meaning the monitor's usage is not being monitored. No pun intended.) The Watt-meter shows a consumption of ~37W. CoolerMaster's online Power-Supply-Calc says 159W. So who's correct ?

So here are the components inside / connected to my computer case which I'm using at a certain level, level at which the Watt-meter registers a consumption of 37W in average:
CPU (w HD Graphics): Intel Pentium G3220 @ 3.00GHz ----- (at 15%)
RAM: 2 x 4GB DDR3 ----- (at 65%)
HDD: 1TB Seagate (SATA) ----- (29 °C ; at 1%)
SSD: 250GB Samsung SSD 850 EVO (SSD) ----- (32 °C ; Five working VMs use it, some light non-stop browser activity every 15 seconds)
MB: B85M-D2V
Fan: 1 120mm fan
External stuff: Wireless Mouse, wired keyboard, TP-LInk USB Wireless adapter.
PSU: CoolerMaster B500 500W (85% energy efficient)

So besides what I wrote in the Title, does all of this look like it uses just 40W (i.e. 0.04 kWh every hour) as the Watt-meter shows ?

Thank you in advance for any kind of help.

Solution
both are right. watt-meter is giving a real time readout. the calculator is giving the peak power usage numbers, not idle, not 50%, peak each part at max draw
load a game and a video then count the wattage. at idle parts of the system shutdown electrically.

Perhaps tiredness is responsible for me not anticipating that particular detail. I got distracted by some who were claiming that [one optimal graphics card] while mining won't satisfy itself with anything lower than 650W even though its max consumption could reach 300W although while mining it reaches 160-200W. 40W is a joke + the max possible 300W are far away from the minimum recommended 650W. So all of that confused me.

Thank you very much.
