This is problem is hard to explain. When booting the pc, fan noise ramps up to extreme, scary rpms. This was fixed by touching the fan, therefore slowing it down and going back to a normal fan noise level. Other times when the computer is left on the fan starts to make a strange sound. Not clicking or rattling but it sounds off. This can be solved the same way as the previous issue. Any advice? I unseated the GPU and reseated it, blew out any dust and I don't know what to do from here.

Solution
Use a program such as MSI Afterburner and create a custom fan profile and see if that fixes it. Also don't touch the fan while it's running as there's the chance of damaging it.

I have the same problem. Installed MSI Afterburner set a custom profil to 0% to get it to quiet down, set it etc, restarted, blew fans off, no debris inside, etc etc. Still going, will last for 1-4 hours at insanely high RPM. Losing my mind. Any help is appreciated.
