Best way to replace motherboard/cpu?

I am upgrading my cpu to the ryzen 7 and hence had to also purchase a motherboard with an am4 socket.

I am wondering what the best procedure for replacing these components is given I do not have a physical copy of my OS somewhere (I upgraded to windows 10 for free a while back). I have an ssd and hardrive so between the two I think there is some way to make the transition over but I wanted to get a professional opinion.

You will just have to swap the motherboards, and install the necessary drivers for the chipset and motherboard. If you have an OEM version of windows you may have to reactivate the copy of windows, its been a long time since I used OEM so I'm not sure how it is today.

Operation: You may well have to do a full reinstall. Win 10 is better than previous versions, but quite often, a clean install is required.
