CPU emulation is very slow. Trying to emulate an Intel CPU on an old PowerPC would probably achieve around 386 or 486 speeds. That wouldn't come anywhere close to fast enough. You'd probably have a tough time playing the original Doom from 1993 in DOS under emulation.
