Hi guys. So my pc turns on for a very brief second then turns off, it’ll repeat the on/off cycle BUT it would stay on if i press and hold the reset button. But still not functioning because there’s no signal coming from all ports (hdmi, vga). I’ve tried to unplug/plug the connectors from the psu, gpu, even the hdds. At first i suspected the psu is the culprit, but i thought wrong because of the reset button keeping the system powered on. Then tried to reconnect the power and reset switches from the mobo, still same fckin result. Watch the first video.

The second video i removed all pci e and sata peripheral connections from the psu, still, it’s only supplying power to the mobo, result hasn’t changed. PS4 and 40inch tv run on the same power socket, i tried both of them.

I have a deadline to catch and i’ve wasted so much time, it’s very frustrating. Could this be a cmos/battery issue? Haven’t tried resetting it because I don’t have my noctua screwdrivers, the battery’s underneath those large heatsink.

P.S. This happened a couple of hours after i traveled via car with my pc, the first time i tried to boot the system it gave me this problem, and now im stuck.

Solution
When possible, try starting the board with only CPU and CPU fan installed, both 24 and 8 pin power cables connected. No other cables/wires, fans, or components.
Start the board by shortly touching with a screwdriver the 2 pins on the board corresponding to the case power button. See if the CPU fan does spin without restarting.

Transporting the pc with heavy CPU fan installed is always risky, due to shocks that might damage the board.

Holy cow, I don’t know what kind of magic is that but that works! I just left one ram plugged and removed all components and power switch connectors, then powered the system by touching the power switch pins by a screwdriver.
