Hey,

I have a Dell Optiplex 740 desktop. I have never upgraded it. My pc has a 280 watt PSU. I want to buy a nvidia geforce gt 1030 low profile graphics card but they recommend a 300 watt PSU. The power of my PCIe x16 slot is 25 watt but the power consumption is 30 watt. Will it work if I connect it with the pc?

Sorry for my bad English.

I think you'll need something like a GT 730. everything else requires around 60+ w. if your mobo only allows up to 25 then that will be your best bet.

I think you'll have issues with the 1030 hooking it into a 25w pci when it needs 30, at least when trying to run anything using it. (videos, games, etc)

It really depends on which processory and other hardware you're using. Do you have a list of all specs? I honestly think you should be fine, but it might be better to take a look at your specs before givng you an answer
