Since updating my video card drivers I've been struggling with an extremely long single beep during sessions of recording games for YouTube. Sessions aren't overly long, but playing more graphics-intensive games lead to a 5-10 second beep that recurs every 20 seconds or so. This is obviously impossible to edit around. So I looked up ASUS beep codes, but it has offered little help since all of them listed have a series of shorter beeps after the long one... But not in my case.
I've cleaned my computer, installed an A/C, and under load I peak out at around 60 C. I'm relatively sure it's not a heating issue. RAM is the next thing to look at, but according to my hardware monitor Rainbow Six: Siege and Farcry 4 are only taking up around 30% of my 8 GB. Has anyone experienced this strange (and quite annoying) beeping before? Is my computer about to explode? Should I just relegate myself to playing indie titles and bid all my triple A titles farewell? Perhaps a system restore to before I installed that seemingly cursed update? Feel free to ask for any more clarification if I've missed something. Any and all help is appreciated.
MOBO: ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3
CPU: AMD FX-8350
Watercooled by Corsair H60
GFX: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
RAM: 2 Kingston 4GB
