I was looking to get a CPU upgrade. I wish to go from an i5 6400 to an i7 7700k. I have checked different things such as socket and power draw. They have the same socket (right?) and the i7 has about 30 watts higher TDP.
My PC specs:
8gb DDR4-2133MHz ram
GTX 1070
1tbb HDD+ 256gb SSD.
450Watt Power supply.
(I probably won't be able to overclock because of power limitations)

So, my idea is that i open the case, take out the cooler and the cpu, and place the new one in the right way. One small dot of thermal compound and the new cooler (probably hyperx 212 EVO) and it should be good.
But this seems fairly simple. Am i missing something? And is it possible that i run into power limitations without even overclocking? (my calcuations gave a 290-350 Watt power draw)
